People who play their instruments well usually have a good idea about how they should look and sound even before they begin a song.  The links below contain pictures and audio files that demonstrate proper technique for each of the instruments in the string orchestra.  Students may want to view these pages as a reminder of what we have talked about in class.  Parents may want to view these pages (especially the part about position) so that they can help their children remember the aspects of good  technique.

Of course the biggest helpful hint for playing any instrument is consistent practice.
